14,000 ACRE WILDFIRE CONTINUES TO GROW ACROSS EAST TEXAS

A large column of smoke from wildfires burning in Trinity, Polk and Jasper counties can be seen in the western sky Saturday in Lufkin, Texas. The Texas Forest Service and numerous volunteer fire departments, including Hudson and Diboll, are out assisting on the Polk/Trinity fire according to Karen Stafford with the Texas Forest Service.
