Tired of the heat yet? I'm sorry, it's not going to change anytime soon... Today will be no different to days of the past 2-3 weeks as the upper level high stands strong and brutalises the region in yet another hot, humid day with high topping the 90s and nights only falling into the 70s at best! Thunderstorm chances are restricted mainly to places near the Gulf coast and Florida, elsewhere it will be sunny and at most a mere 10% chance of rain. Mark's City-Cast as follows: Shreveport, La, Hi 100, Lo 80 (sunny), New Orleans, La, Hi 94 (DP mid-70s), Lo 78-80 (20% t-storm chance), Atlanta, Ga, Hi 95 (DP around 70-73), Lo 74 (mostly sunny)
southern plains
Today will be a brutal hot day with highs at or above 100 for many areas north, northwest of Houston with Dallas topping 101. Lows will range from 80-83 along the Gulf Coast to 78 for Houston to near 80 for Dallas!
northeast
Today marks sunshine and heat with highs ranging from 90-93 for DC to Philadelphia, 85-86 for New York to Boston and low 80s all the way to Maine. Lows will be warmest for the cities from DC (near 80) to Boston (low 70s) Further west across PA, NY and up into interior New England, highs will run to around 80 with lows in the upper 60s!
northwest and southwest
It's a great start to your workweek across the West with clearing skies across the Pacific Northwest after a barrage of Pacific storms rolled through. Highs, though a little cool will top the 60s for Seattle and around 70 for Portland, the key is, it will be SUNNY for a change there. 70s to low 80s and sun will be found east of the Cascades today.
Across the Southwest it will be warm with low 80s for Reno, upper 80s for Salt Lake and indeed as you head south, upper 90s for Vegas, alhtough that is very comfortble for this time of year. Phoenix will be slightly more normal for June 21 with a high near 105. Daeth Valley may top 110. Los Angeles will enjoy morning clouds burn to afternoon sun and 70s. Lows range from the 50s across the PNW coast, 60s east of the mountains, 40s within the mountains, 70s from Vegas to Phoenix.
northern plains
Today once again the boundery settled through the central plains will host more showers and indeed strong to possibly severe thunderstorms on it's north side which could produce large hail, damaging winds, flooding downpours as well as tornadoes. To the south of the boundary, it will stay drier, sunnier and hot with temps climbing into the mid to upper 90s and with high dew points, this soupy air is what is fuelling the frontal system. Highs south of the boundat will warm into the low 80s, mid 80s at best! Tonights lows range from the 50s to the north of the front and where the air is dry further west. Mid to upper 70s for points south of the front. Mark's City-Cast as follows. Denver, Hi 86, Lo 56 (sunny), Bismarck, ND, Hi 83, Lo 58 (showers), Minneapolis, MN, Hi 82, Lo 62 (showers or storms), Chicago, IL, Hi 84, Lo 70 (chance of PM storms), St Louis, MO, Hi 98, Lo 79 (chance of PM storms).

Some met. reports are now hinting at a small break in the Monsoon advance.
Quoting Meteorologist Ashok Patel from Rajkot:
"Monsoon is not expected to progress further for next five days. However, weather over Saurashtra is expected to improve under the mild influence of the Monsoon trough along Konkan and the Cyclonic Circulation over East Arabian Sea. Light Rainfall is expected over Saurashtra mostly South of Rajkot. Rajkot could get rain on Thursday/Friday.
"There is a Cyclonic Circulation over Arabian Sea West of Maharashtra Coast. Monsoon trough along the Konkan Coast and the Cyclonic Circulation will combine to give Heavy Rainfall for Goa to Konkan and also some parts of South Gujarat. Rainfall estimates for Goa, Konkan and nearby South areas will be posted soon".

TODAY'S COND
A dissapointing day with mostly cloudy skies and little sunshine. These conditions held highs below the expected 70-degree mark, though tomorrow should see a return to 70s with more sun before a small chance of rain moves in Wed and may hold highs once again to the upper 60s. The later hald of the workweek should see sunshine and low to mid-70s!!
Thanks for reading.
