AMERICA ENDURING A NORTH-SOUTH DIVIDE!
Note how colder air is penetrating the northern tier, yet milder, Pacific air is flowing underneath allowing some downsloping off the central and southern Rockies bringing some last minute warmth to areas of Colorado and Utah before the trough deepens and broadens over the coming days. A stronger oush of Arctic air is set to flood the Great Basin within the next 48 hours and then migrate eastwards towards the east coast by Thanksgiving. This will likely be the coldest Thanksgiving in Minneapolis and other areas of the Upper Midwest since the cold outbreak of 1985. Paul Douglas has mentioned this on the WEATHERNATION facebook page and his blog!
